To Our Valued Clients

I trust this message finds you in good health. At FMG Business Solutions, your security is our top priority. Unfortunately, we have identified an increase in email phishing scams targeting our clients, and we want to ensure you are well-informed to protect yourself against potential threats.

What is Email Phishing? Email phishing is a fraudulent practice where cybercriminals attempt to obtain sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords, and financial details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity. These scams often involve deceptive emails that encourage recipients to click on malicious links or provide confidential information.

Real-World Example: A Deactivation Warning We recently discovered phishing emails falsely claiming to be from FMG Business Solutions or Simply Email Support Department without specifying Organisation. These messages inform recipients that their email addresses are at risk of deactivation and urgently request them to click on a link to prevent this action. In reality, these links lead to malicious websites designed to compromise your personal information. Your emails can only be suspended when your subscription has expired. In this unfortunate event, you will be notified of the Account Suspension via our Official Email: billing@fmgzimhosting.com. Any other means of communication besides this should be totally disregarded and reported to our support team (support@fmgzimhosting.com) to invetsigate the instance.

How to Recognize Phishing Emails:

  1. Check the Sender's Email Address: Legitimate emails from FMG Business Solutions will always come from our official domains (www.fmgzimhosting.com or www.fmgzim.com or www.fmg.co.zw ). Be wary of variations or misspellings in the sender's address.
  2. Hover Over Links: Before clicking on any links, hover your mouse over them to preview the actual URL. Legitimate emails from us will direct you to www.fmgzimhosting.com or www.fmgzim.com or www.fmg.co.zw , not some suspicious external sites.
  3. Look for Red Flags: Pay attention to poor grammar, spelling mistakes, urgent requests for personal information, or an overly generic greeting. Phishing emails often display these signs.

What You Should Do:

  1. Do Not Click on Suspicious Links: If you receive an email claiming to be from FMG Business Solutions that seems suspicious, refrain from clicking on any links or downloading attachments.
  2. Verify the Email: Contact our support team directly through our official email: support@fmgzimhosting.com to confirm the legitimacy of any email that raises doubts.
  3. Report Phishing Attempts: If you come across a phishing email, please forward it to support@fmgzimhosting.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Your security is paramount to us. By staying informed and vigilant, you contribute significantly to the protection of your personal and sensitive information.

For any concerns or questions regarding email security, please feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team at support@fmgzimhosting.com or Whatsapp: +263716334262.
